Our Work

Working local partners in the Ugu District of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa we contribute to the following programs: Créche (preschool) Support, Teacher Training, and Mommy & Me.

Crèche Support

A crèche is a preschool/child development center for children ages birth to 6 years. We allocate school supplies, “book boxes” and other items to support and enhance learning and the learning environment.

Teacher Training

Mommy & Me

Our mommy & me program provides educational information and resource to moms and their babies. Project Elle team members meet one-on-one with moms and babies to provide encouragement and support. Each Project Elle resource bags contains:
• Infant gown, cap, socks and bib
• Receiving blanket
• A washcloth for baby, a washcloth for mom, cleanser, and Vaseline
• A mommy & me care guide that outlines post-natal care for mom. The importance of knowing your HIV/Aids status. Signs of dehydration & infection for mom.
