Empowering & developing women to change their communities

Our Mission

To promote positive change within the communities we serve via our partnerships with other nonprofit organizations locally and internationally focusing on women and children in these communities.

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor. – Ecclesiastes 4:9

Our Founder

Tracee Westbrook began Project Elle while on a mission trip in 2010 with Lake Pointe Church. On her trip, she met with a Zulu woman who had given birth to a baby girl. The baby was born at 24 weeks, weighed only 1 pound and was not expected to survive. Before leaving the hospital, Tracee took footprints of the baby. When she arrived at the hospital the following day, the baby girl had passed away. Tracee met with the mom and presented her with the baby’s footprints. At first the mom was confused because it is not customary to print newborns. But once she understood was most grateful. The print is the only remembrance of the birth and life of her precious baby girl.

Our Work

We believe in developing and empowering women who have risen up within their communities to affect positive change in their individual lives and their communities while building relationships within the context of their culture to make a difference in the lives of the coming generations.
